HALLWAY COSPLAY CONTEST RULES & INFO
- Who Can Enter?
The Hallway Cosplay Contest is open to solo cosplayers ages 16 and up. There’s one division, but two awesome craftsmanship-based awards—no skits or performances here, just pure build skill! (Think sewing, foam work, wig styling, and more.)
Prizes: Each winner scores two (2) Anime Matsuri 2027 tickets!- Best Beginner: Awarded to the standout cosplay created by a newer cosplayer, as determined by our judge panel.
- Best Overall: Awarded to the most impressive craftsmanship overall, as chosen by our judges.
- Limited Spots!
Only 34 contestants can compete, so spots are first come, first served. Any info you share during registration stays private and won’t be shared with third parties. - Costume Guidelines
Handmade and store-bought cosplays are welcome! Found, salvaged, or modified costumes and props are eligible—but to qualify for awards, they must be at least 60% altered, excluding footwear and items needed for safety or mobility. - Prop Safety First
All props must follow Anime Matsuri’s Weapon Policy at check-in. Yes, even the “harmless-looking” ones! Failure to present props may result in disqualification and removal from the contest area. - Rule Flexibility
Anime Matsuri reserves the right to update rules, terms, or conditions as needed and may disqualify any participant who doesn’t follow the guidelines. - Photo & Video Permission
By entering, you agree to let Anime Matsuri use photos or videos of your cosplay from the contest for future promotions and marketing.
