LakeKSteel is an award-winning US-based cosplayer who has been crafting costumes since age 7 with help from his dad and grandparents. He began attending conventions and truly diving into cosplay in 20104, and he’s been a regular at events ever since. At his core, he’s a filmmaker who loves acting, directing, shooting, and editing video and short films. His “in real life” Resident Evil videos on YouTube and TikTok have earned millions of views worldwide. Over the years, he’s taught himself sewing and mastered skills like pattern design, foam prop making, wig styling, leather working, and has recently started learning 3D modeling. He believes cosplay is a unique hobby and can mean something different for everyone, and encourages people to experiment, learn new techniques, and grow their skills to find creative outlets to express themselves. Though not from Texas, his closest friends and cosplay community are all there, and he’s looking forward to meeting new people and connecting with everyone at Anime Matsuri!
